Description
By the end of this e-learn, you will be able to:
- Recognise potential indicators of child maltreatment - physical, emotional, sexual abuse and neglect. This includes radicalisation, child trafficking and female genital mutilation ( FGM)
- Understand the impact that a parent/ carer's physical and mental health can have on the well being of a child or young person

Understand the importance of children's rights
- Know what action to take if there are concerns
- Understand the risks associated with online social networking
- Be aware of the relevant legislation ( i.e Children Acts, 1989, 2004 and the Sexual Offences Act 2000)
- Identify their own professional role and responsibility
